As required by the Education Welfare Act, schools have a statutory obligation to report absences of pupils for 20 or more days to the Education Welfare Officer. Therefore, we make every possible effort to facilitate parents plan family holidays during school holidays by informing them of the school closures for the coming academic year.
Please note carefully the following closures.
First day of term 2024/2025 Thursday 29th August 2024.
October Mid-term Break 2024 – Monday 28th October to Friday 1st November 2024 inclusive, Re-opening Monday 4th November 2024.
Christmas Holidays 2024 – Closing Friday 20th December 2024 at 12.00 noon, Re-opening Monday 6th January 2025.
February Public Holiday 2025 – Closed Monday 3rd February 2025.
February Mid-term Break 2025 – Closed Thursday 20th and Friday 21st February 2025.
St Patrick’s Weekend 2025 – Closed Monday 17th & Tuesday 18th March 2025.
Easter Holidays 2025 – Closing Friday 11th April at 12.00 noon, Re-opening on Monday 28th April 2025.
May Public Holiday 2025 – Closed Monday 5th June 2025.
June Public Holiday 2025 – Closed Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd of June 2025.
Final day of term 2024/2025 – Closing Wednesday 25th June 2025 at 12.00 noon
N.B. As per Departmental circular it should be made clear that the above calendar could be subject to change as part of contingency arrangements to make up for lost time due to unforeseen school closures. Rulings will be made by the Board of Management.
